Collins Brothers was founded in 1910 in Larchmont, NY, when William Collins began transporting furniture and freight throughout Westchester County and New York City with a horse and wagon. Over the decades, the company grew steadily, earning a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and exceptional customer service. In 1972, the business was purchased by Frank E. Webers. It consisted of just three employees and two vans at the time.
Growth Through Expansion
With a passion for the industry and through an unparalleled culture of customer service, Frank was able to grow Collins Brothers from a respected local mover into a full-service moving, storage, and logistics coordinator capable of supporting local and long distance residential relocations and large-scale commercial projects throughout the tri- state area and nationwide. Today, the company employs more than 200 professionals, operates over 300 pieces of equipment and coordinates moves for individuals, families and businesses nationwide every day.
Despatch of Southampton
As our client base grew, Frank recognized the need to support our valued customers whose homes and projects extended beyond a single location. Many homeowners maintain primary residences in New York City, Westchester and Connecticut, while also owning homes in the Hamptons. Interior designers, architects and builders likewise require a trusted logistics partner capable of coordinating receiving, storage, delivery and installation across both regions.
To meet this need, Collins Brothers partnered with Despatch of Southampton, a company with deep roots in the Hamptons since 1957. This partnership has created a seamless connection between the tri-state area and the East End, allowing clients to rely on one experienced team to manage all of their needs.
